About Living with Pixies

Living with Pixies began in a little shed at the bottom of a garden in Brighton. At the time my daughter was small, and I loved creating a space that felt playful, slightly wild and a little bit enchanted.

The name Living with Pixies grew from that feeling - the idea of living alongside curiosity, imagination, mischief and experimentation. The small voice that says “what happens if I try this?”

I make jewellery from reclaimed vintage tins, hand-sculpted clay and found materials, often combining them in unexpected ways. Many pieces are completely one of a kind because the original tins may never be found again, and because everything is made entirely by hand. I genuinely love slight asymmetry, texture and the evidence of a human being making something slowly and thoughtfully.

I have always been drawn to making things from materials other people overlook or discard - partly because I simply love the stories and history held in old objects, but also because I grew up without much money, and I think there's something wonderful about creating beauty from almost nothing.

For me, creativity is also deeply connected to playfulness and mindfulness. When you become absorbed in colour, texture, shape and experimentation, you enter a different state of mind — something a bit freer, calmer and more childlike in the best possible sense. I think that feeling stays inside the things I make.

So whether it’s a pair of earrings cut from an old tea tin, a tiny toadstool pendant, every item is made to feel personal, characterful and alive.

No mass production. No two quite the same. Just wearable little fragments of story, curiosity and play.
